What is treatment like?

The substance in Perlane is a non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid gel, a natural substance found in the body’s skin and tissues that diminishes with age. Therefore, Perlane is very safe to use, and adverse reactions are extremely rare. Temporary side effects may include redness, swelling, or tenderness, all of which should subside soon after treatment.
How long will Perlane last?
While treatments such as collagen injections typically last three to six months, Perlane naturally supplements the body’s normal supply of hyaluronic acid, generally lasting six months to one year. Because the substance is biodegradable, effects are not permanent and maintenance sessions are recommended.
